The RAID Scuba Diver program was designed to accommodate those who are short on time and can't complete the full Open Water 20 course. The Scuba Diver program is derived from the RAID Open Water 20 course and provides you with basic knowledge and the full experience of scuba diving and the underwater World.

Upon completion of the RAID Scuba Diver program you will receive a certification card indicating your completion of the course. This will allow you to dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40ft with a dive professional across the world. The Scuba Diver certification is also a recognition of learning and allows you to fast track your RAID Open Water 20 course at a later date by not having to repeat any skills that overlap with the two programs.

ON LINE TRAINING

Your training starts online where you will learn all the important information about learning to scuba. Everything from the equipment you will use, the diving environment, the effects of depth and the skills you will learn in the water.

POOL OR CONFINED WATER TRAINING

You will spend a lot of time in the pool (or pool like conditions) training and practicing at your own pace. This will make you very comfortable before you dive into the ocean.

In particular we make sure you learn to control your buoyancy as it is essential to diving safely, comfortable and allows you to glide through the water with ease.

OPEN WATER DIVES

After your pool or confined water sessions, you'll head to open water, where you and your RAID instructor will take you on a minimum of two scuba dives, usually over one day. You'll apply the skills you learned in the pool as well as having plenty of time for exploring the local dive site.

DURATION
The RAID Scuba Diver Course takes about 2 - 3 days depending on local conditions and how much time you need to feel safe and comfortable in the water.
