At Marine Training & Consulting we have tailor-made a Career Program called DivePro for anyone interested in a career in the recreational dive industry. As a candidate you will be educated in the core elements of dive, skipper and first aid training.
As the dive industry is such a diverse business one has to utilize all the aspects offered to become a successful leader in the industry. The opportunities are endless from working as a part time or full time employee, one has to equip oneself with as many skills as possible.
Scuba Diving:
The key elements of the program are:
1. Scuba Diving Leader.
4. Commercial Dive Skipper.
6. First Aid Instructor.
This is the core element of the program as most individuals start a career path in the diving industry to become Dive Masters or Dive Instructors. In this portion we have identified core dive courses as well as key specialty dive courses to ensure our candidates are equipped with the essential skills to lead and teach scuba diving successfully. We have also included a practical application where our candidates will visit and work at other Dive Centres to gain further experience. The following courses included in this portion are:
1. RAID Open Water 20 Diver.
2. RAID Advanced 35 Diver.
3. DAN Basic Life Support and First Aid.
4. RAID Master Rescue Diver.
5. RAID Divemaster.
6. RAID Open Water Instructor
7. RAID Deep 40 Diver.
8. RAID Navigation Diver.
9. RAID Nitrox Diver.
10. DAN First Aid Instructor.
11. Unlimited Diving.
12. Practical Application.
Commercial Skipper Training:
MTC is a SAMSA accredited training academy and offer all Category of skipper training. We offer the theory and well as practical training to commercial skippers. Going in hand with the skipper course is the VHF radio course, which is also offered. This portion of the program includes:
1. Category C skipper course.
2. Practical skipper hours.
3. Dive endorsement.
4. Oxygen Provider.
5. SRC VHF marine radio course.
DAN First Aid Instructor:
MTC is a Diver Alert Network affiliate and offer the complete range of DAN First Aid courses. As first aid is key for all adventure sports it is essential for anyone in this industry to be first aid qualified. In this portion we offer the DAN Instructor Qualification Program after completion of all the DAN courses.
All candidates will also receive the DAN Master Membership for one year included in their program.

Our DivePro Program takes 8 months to complete. As most of the program is weather dependent, we try our best to complete the program in the shortest amount of time without compromising on the training. All learners progress at a different rate and we adjust the training to the learner.
Please note the following:
Included in all training:
1. All online manuals.
2. All international RAID certifications.
3. Full scuba rental gear for all diving (Cylinder, BCD and Regulator) up until Master Rescue.
4. Vessel, launch fees and fuel for practical skipper training.
Excluded in all training:
1. Accommodation.
2. Meals and refreshments.
3. Soft gear. (Wetsuit, fins, mask, snorkel and weightbelt.
4. Scuba gear (cylinder, BCD and regulator) for Divemaster.
